It has been a busy month of June for me and July is going to be even busier, but in a great way. On Monday, I mailed postcards to everyone who has sent in financial support for my music mission trip to Jamaica happening later this month. As a small thank you to them, I’m giving them a code that allows them to download my new album for free even before it is released on July 10th. Those of you who are signed up on my webpage to get updates by email will receive an email this Friday the 3rd allowing you to purchase the album a week before it’s general public release.

This summer’s mission trip to Jamaica is less than 2 months away and is shaping up nicely! Financial support is still coming in and we are just a few hundred dollars from our goal. Thank you so much to all of you who have contributed and become a part of this mission. Christina applied for her passport yesterday, so that’s taken care of. Plane tickets will be bought soon. Plans are being set.
I wanted to give everyone a quick update on the preparations for my upcoming Jamaica mission trip and let you know that God is already at work. First of all, thank you so much to all of you who have already sent in your financial support – Christina and I are about at the halfway mark towards raising enough money to be able to go on this trip. I can’t tell you how much it means to me that our family and friends are behind us on this. I hate asking people for money but we have seen a great outpouring of love so far!
As I posted last week, I’m excited to be going back to Jamaica for a second mission trip this summer. (Click here to read that post.) For those that are unfamiliar, we go down and teach young people musical concepts, how to play instruments, and how to lead others in worship. This year, I also get to take my oldest daughter with me, which is great but also means that we both have to raise financial support. Please consider supporting us financially – there are instructions at the bottom of this post.
I am so pleased to share that I have another opportunity to go on a mission trip to Jamaica this summer! As most of you know, last year I traveled to Montego Bay along with a team from my church and our Music Minister David Loftis (Teach412 Ministries) to hold a music camp for young people interested in leading worship at local churches. You can read my posts from that trip by clicking here. We had a wonderful time teaching some great teenagers how to play various instruments and sing. At the same time, we grew together in the Word. Our time there was culminated with an evangelistic concert which resulted in several people trusting in Jesus Christ for their salvation. Click here to see a video about this important ministry. Our trip is currently scheduled for July 25th through August 3rd, 2015.
